Soumah's Equilibrio Hexham Chardonnay from the Yarra Valley is a beautifully composed, site-specific expression that balances restraint with generosity. On the nose, it opens with bright white peach and nectarine, layered with freshly squeezed lemon curd and a delicate waft of toasted brioche from careful oak integration. A subtle floral lift of white blossom adds elegance and lift. On the palate, the wine is precise and focused, with a silky, medium-weight texture that carries flavours of ripe stone fruit, grilled cashew, and a saline mineral thread that speaks to the cool Yarra Valley terroir. The oak is seamlessly woven — present but never dominant — adding a creamy vanilla and light hazelnut complexity. Acidity is bright and energising, providing excellent structure and freshness throughout.
