On the palate, the wine is rounded and approachable, with soft tannins framing a core of dark berry fruit, a touch of vanilla, and earthy garrigue notes. The influence of the pine — suggested in the name 'Au Pin' — lends a distinctive resinous, forest-floor quality that sets it apart from more conventional Bordeaux blends.
